Welcome to Getting Active with Your Action Research

The purpose of this book is to serve as a companion to our course and provide an in- depth look at action research and how to go about conducting original research to advance your practice. Action research incorporates both the collective knowledge from you as professional, and that of your professional community, and increases the likelihood that results will be applied. This book also provides useful information on the process of finding and evaluating sources that will serve as the foundation for your literature review, which is the first significant step in creating a proposal and ultimately a study.
