Principles + Elements-
The Mercedes-Benz Stadium provides so much detail within the principles and elements of design aspect. For example, there is emphasis created from the opening of the roof, shapes and lines created from the windows and closing of the ceiling, balance between the light and color within the screen and natural lighting and texture also coming from the ceiling structure. There is also rhythm and pattern of the ceiling/roof unifying the space together. The screen on the perimeter around the stadium creates contrast but also balance between the seating and levels of the space.

Connections-
The connections presented in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the natural light. The natural light connects the interior of the space to the exterior of the space connecting the two spaces together. The windows add to the effect of this feature of the connectedness and the reflective features of the building on the exterior.

Materials-
The Mercedes-Benz Stadium uses lots of different materials as pictured in this image above. For example, the image captures the use of steel and metal within the railings and poles spread throughout the space. The image also captures the plastic used within the red seats and glass providing the natural lighting opening entering the building. After doing some further research on the stadium, another material making the structure is an ETFE panel helping create that transparent and reflective look throughout the exterior of the space.

Light + Color-
This space provides light and color within the red seating as well as the green turf for the football field and the natural lighting coming through the opening of the roof. The stadium is well rounded in the light and color in design. Not only is there color in the stands and ground level but also among the screens providing many colors for the audience to keep up with the sport or event that is being portrayed.

Experience-
This Stadium provides a different level of experience to whoever is experiencing the space because of its starred shaped and circular opening in the roof. This opening in the roof of the stadium is unique and allows experience for the audience if needing light or darkness. When the roof is open this experience is different than when it is closed for people. This roof also provides a different form of functionality within the experience side to it making the stadium more valuable.

Theories-
The Mercedes-Benz Stadium has many features that contribute to the theories of design. One main theory within design that I believe relates to well is the human centered design theory. The human centered design theory is presented within the stadium because it not only fits the needs of the audience but fits the needs of the football players and or whoever is on the floor or base level of the stadium. This also makes the space a universal design because it accommodates to all human no matter who they are.

Technology-
The Mercedes-Benz Stadium has technology presented within the space due to is opening and closing roof in the center of the stadium. In this image, it also shows us the other building surrounding the space within the city that are skyscrapers based upon technology. In order for this ceiling to open technology is used heavily to make this happen and in the way that it opens using different forms and shapes from the process of opening to the process of closing.

Finishings-
This image represents finishing well due to the final surface or appearance of the stadium and its glossy effect. As pictured in the image above the reflectiveness and shine comes from the materials used to form the space. Finishings is the final part of the aesthetic part of the building, and it is presented as well when symbolized that this stadium is the Mercedes Stadium coming from the emphasized emblem in the center of the space.

Furnishings-
This image presented that represents furnishings helps the stadium come together. I believe that furnishing are what make a space come together such as all the details within the building like the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. From the red seats to the different sized screens all around the narrow but somewhat wide football field to the natural lighting coming through connecting all of the spaces together from the exterior to the interior. Another example of the furnishing presented are the writing of the team and markings upon the field.

Telling Stories-
The telling stories part of design create a narrative with the space. The narrative within this space especially the one presented in the image about is about a stadium. This image though adds to that narrative because it was in the making or the process of the stadium itself. Even though it isn’t as noticeable that it is a football stadium in this image it is the process of it creating more stories to tell about the process of making it.
