UK BLUE

The University of Kentucky Bachelor of Law Undergraduate Education (UK BLUE) program offers a unique and challenging opportunity for incoming first-year students majoring in English, History, Law and Justice, or Political Science. This 3+3 accelerated-degree program is a partnership between the College of Arts and Sciences and the J. David Rosenberg College of Law.

Students admitted to UK BLUE complete both their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and (after applying and being admitted into UK’s J. David Rosenberg College of Law) Juris Doctor (J.D.) degrees in just six years, saving time and tuition while engaging in a rigorous and rewarding academic journey. Participants join a close-knit, intellectually driven community of peers who share a strong commitment to academic excellence and public service.

Throughout the program, students take part in enrichment experiences designed to deepen their understanding of the legal profession. These include opportunities to explore clinical practice, community service, and the many career paths that a law degree can open. UK BLUE is ideal for highly motivated students who are passionate about justice and eager to begin making a difference in the world through the study of law.
