Proto-Cuneiform Numerals

In this section we introduce the earliest forms of written numbers ever recorded. During the late Uruk Period (c. 3200BC-3000BC) several independent systems of numbers.^[1] We introduce two of these systems by examining the tablet VAT 12593.
