15 Printing OER
Quote from the bookstore (6/24)
- If a professor is looking for a very low cost option, we can always utilize RICOH here on campus for partial prints, handouts, things of that nature.
- We have always used Xanedu in the past to print physical copies of OER or even out of print books. However, Xanedu has sold out to another company and we are square in the middle of acquiring a new vendor for these types of POD situations. More details to come on this, but I’ll check with our team tomorrow on our regional call and see where we are in the process. I know the goal was to have the new vendor set up and ready to print by this fall semester, so I’m sure we are close!
Once we have the new vendor in place, we’ll be able to simply place a PO with them and get however many copies we need, as long as they have the rights to print from the author or whoever holds those rights. We’ll just need to work closely with those professors and the vendor to make sure everything is done properly.
