Practice: Self-Reflection Exercise
Self-Reflection Exercise
Reflect on your part of group experiences and answer these prompts:
- Collaboration Style: How do you usually approach collaboration? Are you more inclined to lead, follow, or mediate? Reflect on how this style affects group interactions and outcomes.
- Strengths and Challenges: What strengths do you bring to group work, and how do they benefit the team? Conversely, what challenges or behaviors might hinder group dynamics, and how can you address them?
- Feedback Reflection: Think about the feedback you’ve received from peers regarding your group work. Have others identified you with a particular archetype? How does this feedback resonate with your self-perception?
- Impact on Others: How do you think your group work style affects your peers? Do you inspire, frustrate, or support them? How do you engage in conflict resolution? Reflect on the potential impact you have on group morale and productivity.
- Goals for Growth: As you move forward in your academic journey, how do you want to approach group work? What changes or commitments can you make to enhance your effectiveness and collaboration with peers? Are there specific behaviors or attitudes you want to develop or change? How can you leverage these archetype characteristics for better collaboration?
