Introduction

Being able to conduct doctoral-level research in Arts Administration will require you to distinguish between a wide variety of publication types—from the books and academic journal articles that most undergraduates are familiar with, to other types of academic and professional publications such as dissertations, white papers, research reports, government documents, standards, and data sets. This module will help you start to re-familiarize yourself with the scholarly publishing landscape and teach you how to use the resources and services offered by UK Libraries to access materials in the best way for online programs.

 

Outcomes

After completing this module, students will be able to:

  • Categorize various types of materials used in Arts Administration research
  • Create a list of the seminal journal titles in the Arts Administration field
  • Explore strategies for finding various types of research materials
