I would like to thank the State Assisted Academic Library Council of Kentucky (SAALCK) for providing an opportunity and this online platform for me to develop my teaching and learning materials and share them with students at Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky.

I also want to thank Stacy Marie Scott, the Acquisition Librarian of the Camden-Carroll Library at Morehead State University for her guidance and assistance. I was very excited when she introduced me to SAALCK and helped me to get started with Pressbooks. This is my first e-book, “Digital Foundations for Art and Design” which was designed to introduce students to digital knowledge and skills and enhance their digital literacy and competency.

I thank my ART109 students in the Spring 2024 class for inspiring me to write this book. Their enthusiasm to learn new digital tools and technology has encouraged me to start this journey.
